Last Sunday (July 01, 2012), my cousin invited us for lunch to celebrate my beautiful niece birthday at this new chic food place at the Fort - The RobotoSan Japanese Grill Buffet. Upon entering RobotoSan, I feel like I am in the future with it's futuristic interior bird's nest design, highlighted in purple walls and interlacing white wooden panels. What really caught my attention was the vintage anime being played and displayed on RobotoSan's TV screens (like Voltes V, Mazinger Z, Astroboy and among others). This was a captivating scene for the youth, and for the young at heart.
The crew or servers are dressed like a pilot jet fighters and robots with their white tight space suits highlighted with silver linings, matched with all the rage and fashionable hairstyles. With its eat all you can buffet style concept, it offers a wide range of tasty dishes like Dim sum, Pizza, Tempura, Sushi/Sashimi, and some marinated meat dishes. They also have Korean Short Ribs BBQ.
Actually, they have so much Asian dishes that you will find them hard to resist. From hearty soups and appetizers, to deliciously marinated raw meat and seafood that customers will enjoy cooking on the smokeless grill, to cooked and ready to eat meals, up to eye-catching desserts (like Big Scoop Ice Cream, cakes, etc.).
According to the manager-in-charge that time, RobotoSan Japanese Grill Buffet is brought to you by the same group who brought you SumoSam: Steaks Seafood Sushi, John and Yoko: Cosmopolitan Japanese, Marciano's: Pizza Pasta Steaks, and Mr. Kurosawa Euro-Japanese. Its brainchild was restaurateur Ricky Laudico. She also explained that the concept, design, and operation of Robotosan was the owner's fascination for robots. Even the interior of the place and the costumes of the servers are his ideas.
As for me, I enjoyed the its food, service and ambiance. It's price was reasonable. Just be aware of their unique birthday greetings. :)
You can find ROBOTOSAN JAPANESE GRILL BUFFET at 2nd Floor, Crossroads, 32nd St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. It's contact number is (02) 823-6988.
