Lifestyle: My Movie Review - X-MEN APOCALYPSE

Synopsis:

Worshiped as a god since the dawn of civilization, the immortal Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) becomes the first and most powerful mutant. Awakening after thousands of years, he recruits the disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and other mutants to create a new world order. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Professor X (James McAvoy) and Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) lead a team of young X-Men to stop their seemingly invincible nemesis from destroying mankind.

My Review:

The film is fun to watch that captures the spirit of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters with its grand scope and great special effects. It does not require viewers knowledge of each character for them to enjoy the film because it showcases their powers and skills origin.

The performances of all the actors are pretty good. Ms. Jennifer Lawrence  (Mystic) is a so so in this film and feels like she's phoning it in at some points in the movie. A very few Mystic make up this time around.  Michael Fassbender (Magneto) once again manages to bring Erik Lensherr to a new level and he really gets some moments to shine in the movie.

However there were  times that you will feel sleepy because it really feels long at certain points.  En Sabah Nur is really an underdeveloped villain that doesn't feel threatening at all. His character is not that godly and just like a person who really wants to be powerful.

The film was very few in action and some of the action scenes are not that remarkable at all. But it is still  a good and enjoyable movie with some flaws. My rating is  6 stars ******out of 10. :)
