Top View of Dakak |
This is my fourth time going to Dakak. The first was during our office audit to Dipolog and the second time was when I relieve our Dipolog branch officer-in-charge for a month. The third was our corporate training was held in this world class resort for 3 days.
This time I was privileged to be given an assignment to Dipolog City and cannot wait to see the developments in this wonderful place. I never imagine that I will be able to visit it again. Because it is considered as one of the most expensive resorts in the Philippines (AAA resort type).
After my day tour to Dapitan City, by 2 pm we reached Dakak. Dakak Park and Beach Resort is located in Brgy. Taguilon, City of Dapitan, It is about 15 minutes away from the Jose Rizal's Shrine. Roads going to Dakak were very much improved. Unlike 6 years ago, it will take you 30 - 45 minutes to reach Dakak because of rough roads. Now, it will only take you 15 - 20 minutes from Dapitan town proper.
In my case I decided to take a day tour instead because its more expensive if checking in at the resort. It will cost you Php 2,900 net/person (subject to change without prior notice). It is advisable to go in a group like their Barkadahan Package for 4 persons. I only paid Php 500 for the day tour inclusive of round trip transfer from the Main Gate to the beach park, complimentary use of the swimming pools, water slides, outside jacuzzi and a free pasta meal at their Italian restaurant. They also have a night tour for Php 250/person inclusive of bar entrance and dinner with cultural show at the resort.
The resort boasts of 15 hectares of wooded land, a natural reservoir for native plants and animals, providing the ideal setting for a 750 meter private beach blanketed with powdery white sand. Natural spring water and tumbling waterfalls feed the resort's two pools, whilst the ultimate hideaway is provided at a private open-air jacuzzi where you can relax in the sauna and whirlpool midst an atmosphere of blissfull solitary.
Facilities:
* Whirlpool / Adults pool / Kiddie pool
* Bars/ Videoke/ Billiard / Basketball / Bowling / Golf / Tennis / Disco / Horseback Riding/ Souvenir Shops
* Chuch
* Aqua sports (like Jet Ski, Kayak, Sailing, Snorkling, Scuba Diving and others)
* Island Hopping ( Aliguay Island)
***Note: According to Manong Jason (habal - habal driver), it is advisable to book the Aliguay Island tour outside the resort. It is much more cheaper.
We left this wonderful resort by 4:45 pm and reached Dipolog City by 6:15 pm.
To visit the place, take a plane from Manila to Dipolog City via Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Airphil express. For further information, you may visit their site at:
