A week before I left Dubai, I visited this wonderful man made structure. Atlantis, the Palm.
Atlantis, the Palm is a hotel resort at Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE. It opened on 24 September 2008. The resort is modelled after the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in Nassau, Bahamas (where Miss Universe 2009 was held). Almost everything in it is underwater themed. It was voted The Most Hygienic Hotel of the World Award 2012 - Amongst the shortlist of over 300 Prime Hotel finalists world-wide.
You get to enjoy the great aquarium that once had a Whale shark (Sammy), that has been released last March of 2010. The aqua park and some of the best restaurants in the whole country if not in the world
but be prepared as it is very expensive (like Nobu Japanese restaurant, Seafire, a steakhouse and others).
The resort consists of two towers linked by a bridge, with a total of 1,539 rooms and have variety of room types available, some of them would be having an aquarium view, which is highly recommendable according to the information desk officer. Again, rooms in the resort are quite expensive. However you may try their deluxe rooms instead. A high rise room is highly recommended so you can see much from your room balcony like the pool view of the resort, the palm and Dubai skyline.
At Atlantis, you can enjoy thrilling water slides, floating in the lazy river or rapids, or even experience ray feeding and snorkelling with sharks at the Middle East’s largest water park, Aquaventure. Then there is the Ultimate Dive experience in The Ambassador Lagoon, surrounded by 65,000 sea creatures, and finally, the incredible Dolphin Bay, where you can enjoy amazing encounters with our friendly dolphins. Amazing!
Apart from the incredible beaches, it also offers full range of outdoor marine activities, the water park and the gourmet experiences, there is also the shopping on The Avenues and Nasimi Boutique, exploring The Lost Chambers, clubbing at N'DULGE or partying at Nasimi Beach.
Like Burj Khlaifa Dubai Mall it has a huge Aquarium and a lot of visitors visits the hotel daily making the hotel seem like a shopping mall as well. For further information, you may check their website:

WOW! Such a nice hotel. People staying on the place would surely enjoy a lot. Hope I can visit it soon.
